On Wednesday, May 15th a group of students from Eindhoven University of Technology, the Netherlands, visited the Heinen & Hopman office in St. Petersburg, Russia. The trip was organized by Study Association Mollier. This year’s goal was to let students participate in business meetings and cultural events in St. Petersburg and Moscow. The students from the Building Physics and Services department study HVAC systems and that is why they were particularly interested in visiting the Heinen & Hopman office. The students have already been to Chicago, Rio de Janeiro and Seoul. Because the number of students, who are willing to participate in such a trip, always exceeds the number of places in the group, the Association organizes a lottery. The students, who have never participated in such meetings, have more attempts than those who already travelled in such a way.
The meeting started with a presentation of the Heinen & Hopman group and an overview of company activities in Russia. After the first question came, the lively discussion began. The students were interested in the differences between HVAC systems for buildings and marine vessels, the usage of energy-saving solutions and modern technologies and the approach to management of complex projects in Russia.
